Question:
I got a bill collection letter of $40 for not buying enough video from
Columbia House. I hate they are after you for no actual deal.
I have seen many disscussion about his here. What's the final result
of them?
Is it going to really stain my credit report if not paying them?
Answer:
-I once joined their record club. They wanted me to pay the postage to
return those postcards to stop them from automatically sending the next
CD. I learned that it was cheaper just to put "return to sender" on
every single CD they sent me. Eventually THEY terminated the contract.
-If you signed up and failed to complete your part of the deal, then you are in the
wrong.
You owe them the money and it WILL end up on your credit report (It most likely
already has)
